Are we in America?

 Now the Administration’s “Pay Czar” has put a figure on how much you are allowed to make. The funny thing is that it has solely been aimed at banks & Wall Street. It’s as if the government wants to punish these people for who “they” blame the whole financial meltdown on. When the truth is that most of the problems stemmed from government actions. So it’s ok if your a movie star or pro athlete, but if you are a banker you now have a cap. I’m not saying they go after other industries that make a bunch of money, they should not be going after ANYONE? What country is this? As long as you made it legally, what business is it for the government to step in. Do they not realize how much tax money they get from these wealthy people? After they limit these peoples income, they will not have as much tax revenue coming in & then guess who they will come after? You & me, they will need to make up the tax revenue somewhere so they will start to raise taxes on the middle class. Where else are they going to get the money?

Now we can start teaching the kids in school that once upon a time America was the land of opportunity & if you worked really hard you could live the American dream. We will have to change this to: America is the land of opportunity, but once you hit 500K you may as well stop because it’s not fair for you to have more than someone else unless your a movie star or pro athlete, then it’s cool.

This whole idea of thinking is sick, trying to instill class warfare into our society is whack. If you decide to bust your ass & achieve great wealth, good for you. If you decide to sit on your butt, smoke pot, play video games & live in your parents basement, thats cool too. Just don’t get pissed that someone has more & that somehow you deserve some of it.
